We had some Texas Toast leftover from when I made Monte Cristos so I decided to make French toast for Sunday breakfast:
We had some ripe bananas so I sliced one to go on top of the bready goodness. SP asked for some bacon to go alongside as well. I'm starting to get the whole salty/sweet thing after some of the syrup got onto the bacon.
I've been quietly drooling over most of your recent meals, but this looks absolutely amazing! I would so love to eat this!!!! As you know, I love the bacon and maple syrup combo - love banana and love french toast. This is my idea of a perfect meal.
tfp - I KNEW you would be a fan of this meal. I was actually going to link to your post where you talk about French toast and bacon. :) I never liked the mix of the salty bacon and sweet syrup but it's growing on me.
