Tuna Sandwich

Sometimes you just want a simple, no frills dinner. I've been craving a tuna melt for a couple days and since SP had class tonight I decided to kick up my ordinary tuna melt. I mixed the tuna with salt, pepper and mayo and toasted two slices of white bread, then I put the tuna mixtue on one slice of bread. I topped the tuna with cheddar cheese and ran it under the broiler while I thinly sliced some red onion. Once the cheese was melty and bubbly, I topped the tuna with a leaf of Romaine and the red onion slices. A thin coating of mayo went on the other slice of bread. I filled the other half of the plate with some Terra Frites, sour cream and onion and sour cream and cheddar potato chips. A dill pickle slice completed the meal.

Okay, Ams loves tuna melts but I can't IMAGINE warm tuna. It gives me the heebbie jeebies.

With that said, I too have been craving tuna! Hence the pita pizza's going on the menu! (I like my tuna in a pita pocket!)

Tuna melts are so good! Ya know, I never thought about tuna melts actually being warm tuna before. When I actually stop to think about it, it kind skeeves me out, too. LOL!

How did Bird's pita pizzas come out?

  3. Well.....did you see the pics? She was a little heavy handed on the sauce and a little stingy on the cheese, but I loved it of course. She was funny though, she was like, why are we eating this? I guess she doesn't care for pita pizza?

  4. Haha! I hadn't checked your blog after I left work, but I just did. It looks like a pool of sauce on that cutting board. :P But that's totally awesome that she was cooking, even though she was surprised that you guys actually ate it.

And you made mac and cheese?! From scratch? You really are turning into quite the home cook!
